I donated an amount to All Within My Hands because I want to contribute to the valuable work the organization does to combat poverty, hunger, and other societal challenges. I considered it very unlikely that I would win, but the joy was all the greater when it actually happened. My relationship with Metallica began when I was 10 years old and received a cassette tape of Ride the Lightning. It opened my eyes to metal music and forever changed my understanding of how music should be played. To this day, the album remains one of my absolute favorites! I still vividly remember my very first Metallica concert in Oslo on December 14, 1992. Right after school that day, I hurried straight into the city and took my place outside the hotel where the band was staying, waiting there for hours filled with excitement and anticipation. Eventually, Kirk and Jason stepped outside, and those of us who had waited so patiently were lucky enough to meet them and receive autographs. For a young boy who had been counting the days for months, it was an unforgettable moment. And the concert itself — it was nothing short of perfect! The last time I saw Metallica live was a couple of years ago at Tons of Rock. I was there with my girlfriend, and it was her very first Metallica concert. Unfortunately, we had to leave after only half an hour because she suffered a severe migraine attack. So she was absolutely thrilled to get the chance to experience Metallica again in Dublin — not just one concert, but two concerts over the course of a single weekend! That is nothing short of absolutely fantastic!
