My wife and I have been to the You Got Gold celebration in Nashville in 2023, 2024 and 2025 with our dear friend Scott Hertzke. We went to our first John Prine concert in Ames Iowa in 2000 with Scott and his late wife Suzy. It was my future wife's (Paula) and my very first date! 26 years and several John Prine shows later (and in spite of ourselves) we are still very much married and in love. I can't help but think John is largely responsible! 'How lucky can one man get?'
